Professor Thilo Welsch is the Chair of the Department of General, Visceral and Tumor Surgery at the well-known Krankenhaus Nordwest in Frankfurt, Germany. He is specialized in surgical oncology and was trained at the University of Heidelberg (Prof. Büchler), Dresden (Prof. Weitz) and Hamburg (Prof. Hackert). His special interests focus on pancreatic cancer treatment and research as well as on robotic surgery and ERAS. He lead several clinical randomized clinical trials aiming to improve the safety and efficiency of complex surgical operations. He has published over 180 scientific papers.
