Dr. Teresa Peccerella currently is the Lab Manager for the ESPAC Lab at the Surgical Department of the University Hospital Heidelberg. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biotechnology, and earned her Ph.D. in Medical Research from the Medical Faculty of the University of Heidelberg. With over 20 years of research experience, Dr. Peccerella has worked at different institutions including the University Hospital Mannheim, Salem Medical Center, and University Hospital Heidelberg. She has been serving as a lab manager for the past 15 years and joined the ESPAC Lab in 2020. Dr. Peccerella's prior research included topics ranging from tumor markers in solid tumors during her PhD, to iron regulation in the liver and alcohol-induced carcinogenesis, while working at the Alcohol Research Center at the University of Heidelberg.
