Prof. Stefano Crippa completed his Residency Program in Surgery at the University of Verona after graduating from the University of Milano-Bicocca. During his residency, he conducted research at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, focusing on the clinico-pathological features of pancreatic malignancies. He also pursued a PhD in Inflammatory and Neoplastic Diseases of Liver and Pancreas at the University of Verona. In January 2018, Prof. Crippa was appointed Assistant Professor in Surgery at the University San Raffaele Vita Salute, and he was promoted to Associate Professor in January 2021. With a H-index of 60, he has authored or co-authored over 300 peer-reviewed papers. His research contributions have been recognized with several awards, including the 2017 Rising Star Award from the United European Gastroenterology. He his a “high-volume” pancreatic surgeon focusing also on minimally invasive and complex pancreatic surgeries inclduing vascular and multivisceral resections. Prof. Crippa is also Principal Investigator or Co-PI several in competitive grants focusing on translational studies of pancreatic neoplasms.
