Prof. Vege has 45 years experience after fellowship in GI in leading academic institutions. Author of more than 250 publications ( including JAMA, NEJM, Gastro, GUT ), served in all GI associations in important positions, past President of International Association of Pancreatology, visiting professor to many leading academic institutions in the US and most of the countries, distinguished clinical mentor of pancreas AGA, Master of ACG, Lifetime achievement award by IAP. Program Director for Advanced fellowship in Medical Pancreatology for 8 yrs (Only program in the US at that time). More than 30 mentees in leadership positions in universities in India, USA and Mexico. Scientific committee member for meetings USA, India, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa, UAE. More than 300 key note addresses, orations, invited lectures, oral presentations. Visiting professor to national and international universities including Dartmouth, Duke, Cedar Sinai, Emory, Harvard, Wash U, USC, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Munich, Verona, Kyoto, Tokyo, Dokyo, New Castle, Delhi, Bombay, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Nanjing, Nanchang, São Paulo, Alicante, Heidelberg, Budapest, Brno, Olomouts, Prague amongst others. Henry Plummer distinguished clinician award at Mayo Clinic many years ago. Director of pancreas clinic for 8 years prior to 2021. Many guidelines national and international, most of them primary author, on acute and chronic pancreatitis and pancreas cysts. Honor remember of Brazilian College of Surgeons, Indian pancreas club, Czech GI Society amongst others.
