Safi Dokmak (MD, PhD) is a Professor in HPB surgeon at Beaujon Hospital (Clichy), University of Paris France. He work in this hospital nearly since 20 years. He is an expert in HPB surgery and liver transplantation by open and minimally invasive approaches.

Furthermore, he is one of the pioneers for the development of pancreatic minimally invasive surgery with personal experience with > 1000 cases including all cases of pancreatic resections. He performed the first worldwide laparoscopic assisted liver transplantation in 2019. Besides, he has developed many innovations in many fields of HPB surgery including mainly the reconstruction of the mesenterico-portal vein andvena cava by the parietal peritoneum with worldwide diffusion of the technique. He has published 260 indexed publications, 22 textbook chapters and > 250 national and international conferences. He is member of the French association of surgery and IHPBA association. He is on the editorial board of HPB journal and reviewer for many international indexed journal. He is an active member of EMIPS and IMIPS and has participated in many retrospectives and randomized European and international studies.
