Prof. Pierluigi Di Sebastiano is a distinguished Italian surgeon specializing in pancreatic, hepatobiliary, and colorectal surgery. He serves as Full Professor of Surgery at the University "G. d'Annunzio" of Chieti-Pescara and directs the Department of Surgery at Casa di Cura Pierangeli in Pescara.
After earning his medical degree in 1987 and completing his surgical specialization in 1992 at the University of Chieti, Prof. Di Sebastiano advanced his training in Germany at the Universities of Ulm and Heidelberg. Heheld academic and clinical roles in both institutions, including as "Privat Dozent" and senior surgeon at Heidelberg.
His career includes leadership positions such as Director of the Department of Surgical Sciences at IRCCS Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza in San Giovanni Rotondo and Head of General Surgery at the hospitals of Chieti and Ortona. Since 2019, he has led the oncologic surgery unit at Casa di Cura Pierangeli.
