Dr. Paul E. Oberstein is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Section Chief of GI Oncology and co-director of the Pancreas Cancer Center in the Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone Health in New York. His career has been focused on integrating emerging scientific discoveries with focused and personal patient care. At NYU Langone Health, he leads a large clinical group that emphasizes patient-centered and collaborative multi-disciplinary approaches to care. He designs and runs clinical trials including Phase 1 and early translational trials, and collaborates on bench to bedside clinical innovations. He has been recognized by the NIH with a Cancer Clinical Investigator Team Leadership Award, serves on multiple committees, and his research is supported by federal and foundation sources.
