Dr. Nicola Canitano is a general surgeon with a particular interest in pancreatic and liver surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of Padova in 2017 and subsequently completed his general surgery training at the same institution in 2023. In 2024, Dr. Canitano had the opportunity to spend a year at the University of Bologna, where he contributed to a multicentric national project focused on techniques for liver hypertrophy in the context of two-stage liver resections. At the end of 2024, he returned to Padova to pursue a Research Fellowship in pancreatic surgery, with a particular focus on IPMNs and pancreatic cancer.
