Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, USA
Jonathan was trained as a chemical engineer at Université Laval in Québec and as a bioengineer at EPFL’s Institute of bioengineering, where he carried out his Master studies on organoid bioprinting (with Matthias Lutolf). He obtained his PhD at McGill University working on cell therapy delivery for type 1 diabetes (with Corinne Hoesli). He is currently a Schmidt Science Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of James Wells in Cincinnati, where he developed a new iPSC-derived pancreatic organoid system that recapitulates human pancreas morphogenesis. His research aims at improving organoid physiological relevance and using them to understand how tissues are built and altered during development and diseases.
