Prof. Kuirong Jiang serves as the vice president of the First Affiliated Hospital with Nanjing Medical University, the director of the Department of General Surgery and Pancreas Center of the hospital. He has been engaged in pancreatic surgery for more than 30 years, and has performed more than 2000 pancreaticoduodenectomies, including more than 300 vascular resection surgeries.

He does both basic and clinical research on the occurrence, development, recurrence and metastasis of pancreatic cancer. He has published nearly 100 SCI papers as corresponding author in professional journals such as Journal of Clinical Oncology, Advanced Materials, Molecular Cancer, Oncogene and Cancer Letters.
