Giannicola Genovese
Gianni Genovese is a physician scientist interested in studying cancer evolution and tumor heterogeneity. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Rome and he trained as a medical oncologist at the Catholic University of Rome. He received his postdoctoral training in the Laboratory of Dr. Lynda Chin, Department of Medical Oncology, Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard University. Dr. Genovese is an expert of in vivo cross species functional genomics and provided seminal contribution to the fields of cell plasticity in cancer, tumor evolution and context-specific vulnerabilities. He’s currently Associate Professor of Genitourinary Medical Oncology and Genomic Medicine as well as Scientific Director of the TRACTION platform. His ultimate goal is to understand and intercept the mechanisms driving the progression of aggressive cancers.
