Giampaolo Perri is a Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Liver Transplant Surgeon in Padova University Hospital and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Padova University. He trained in general surgery at Verona Pancreatic Surgery Department, under Professor Claudio Bassi, where he developed a special interest in pancreatic surgery and also clinical research. During his residency, he underwent a 1-year research fellowship in the U.S. at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX) Surgical Oncology Department, mentored by Professor Matthew Katz. After residency, he completed a PhD in "inflammation, immunity and cancer" at Verona University, and a 1-year clinical fellowship in HPB surgery at Karolinska University Hospital (Stockholm, Sweden).
