Prof. Felix Nickel is an HPB and Upper GI surgeon specialized in robotic surgery. He went to medical school in Heidelberg, Paris and New York City and was trained ingeneral and visceral surgery at Heidelberg University Hospital. He now works as Deputy Chief of Surgery at University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. His research interests include: Robotic HPB and Upper GI surgery, improvement of surgical techniques, digital surgery, artificial intelligence, surgical training, and multimodal treatment of oligometastatic and locally advanced pancreatic and upper gastrointestinal malignancies.
