Dr. Federica Valsecchi is a life sciences strategist and non-profit leader with deep experience at the intersection of oncology research, innovation, and patient advocacy. She holds a PhD in Cell Biology from Radboud University Nijmegen and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Zicklin School of Business.
She is the Founder and President of Fondazione Nadia Valsecchi, an Italian non-profit dedicated to pancreatic cancer research, awareness, and patient support, and co-founder of the Italian Pancreatic Cancer Community (I-PCC, i-pcc.org), a national network of 28 labs connecting research laboratories across Italy. She also serves on the Steering Committee of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition, a global alliance of nearly 100 patient organizations.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Valsecchi conducted research contributing to peer-reviewed publications on mitochondrial diseases and ALS. She has since channeled her scientific background into building impactful organizations, securing funding for groundbreaking research, designing awareness campaigns, and developing advocacy strategies that amplify the patient voice.
