Prof. Koh is Consultant Radiologist in Functional Imaging at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Professor in Functional Cancer Imaging at the Institute of Cancer Research. His clinical and research expertise is in the development and application of MRI techniques (including body diffusion-weighted MRI) for tumour evaluation, especially in the abdomen and in malignant bone disease. His research also includes using artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve imaging diagnostics and quantitative biomarkers. Prof. Koh was the Imaging Theme Lead for the National Institute of Health Research Biomedical Research Centre (2012-2016), as well as the Director of the Clinical Research Facility (2017-2022) at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Institute of Cancer Research. He is currently Co-director of the AI Imaging Hub at the Royal Marsden Hospital, as Co-lead of the Cancer Theme for the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre. Prof. Koh is a Fellow of the International Cancer Imaging Society, European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology and the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. He was awarded the Barclay Medal from the British Institute of Radiology (2013), Gold Medal of the ICIS (2018) and Honorary Membership of the Korean Society of Radiology (2023).
