Christopher L. Wolfgang, MD, PhD is the Chief of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery and Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs at NYU Langone Health System and the S. Arthur Localio Professor of Surgery, NYU Grossman School of Medicine. His clinical activities focus on the care of patients with pancreatic cancer and cystic neoplasms of the pancreas. He has a particular interest in developing methods for the safe resection of locally advanced pancreas cancer. Dr. Wolfgang runs a research lab focused on the study of circulating tumor cells and minimal residual disease – the origin of the most common pattern of treatment failure following an oncologic resection.
