Benedict Kinny-Köster is a clinical fellow in Transplant/Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery at NYU Langone Health. Previously, he completed general surgery residency at Heidelberg University Hospital. His main scientific interests lie in innovative surgical techniques such as vascular and robotic HPB surgery. This includes patient selection for locally advanced pancreatic cancer and parenchyma-sparing techniques treating premalignant pancreatic lesions. During postdoctoral research at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Benedict was impressed by the impact and creativity of collaborative research across institutions, borders, and cultures – which he looks forward to at BCIPCC 2025 in Lisbon.
