Anna Chiara Siciliano is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Nanotechnology (CNR NANOTEC), National Research Council of Italy, in Lecce, where she is a member of the INTERCELLMED 3D Cell Sensing research group. Her research focuses on the development of optical biosensing platforms integrated with advanced three-dimensional in vitro models for investigating the tumour microenvironment and supporting precision oncology. She received her PhD in Nanotechnology, developing multiscale optical pH sensing systems for monitoring extracellular and intracellular acidification dynamics in cancer models. Her current research combines engineered biomaterials, patient-derived pancreatic cancer models, optical imaging, and biosensing technologies to study tumour metabolism, lysosomal function, and therapeutic response. She has authored several peer-reviewed publications in nanotechnology, biosensing, and cancer research and actively collaborates with national and international research groups. Her work aims to develop non-invasive sensing technologies that improve the physiological relevance of preclinical cancer models and enable more predictive drug screening and personalized therapeutic strategies.
