Andrea Costamagna is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Cancer Cell Signaling Laboratory at the Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Health Sciences, University of Torino. In 2021, he obtained his PhD in Biomedical Sciences and Oncology from the University of Torino. His early research examined epidermal homeostasis and cancer-relevant protein–protein interactions in breast cancer. He subsequently focused on the molecular mechanisms governing pancreatic cancer initiation, progression and early metastatic dissemination, with particular emphasis on signalling mediated by adaptor proteins, PI3K-associated pathways and and specialized modes of invasion. His expertise includes molecular and cellular biology, pancreatic organoid models and complex three-dimensional invasion systems. He is currently supported by a SIC–Pezcoller Postdoctoral Fellowship to investigate how amoeboid migration promotes metastatic dissemination from preneoplastic pancreatic lesions.
